ARMA Awarded Sole Subcontract from Lockheed Martin on CNTPO TORP 110 Contract with a contract value of $140,000,000 over four years.
ARMA is the sole subcontractor to Lockheed Martin, performing all operational requirements in support of TORP 110, a critical CNTPO contract, requiring the procurement, inspection, and delivery to Kabul, Afghanistan of non-standard aviation spare parts for Mi-17, Mi-35, An-26 and An-32 aircraft.
ARMA demonstrated the ability to manage a complex supply chain in Eastern Europe in order to procure and inspect non-standard aviation parts from multiple sources on a massive scale and to deliver them to the customer in Afghanistan. Resulting in the final delivery of more than 87,000 individual items with only 4 items (0.0003% of all parts) requiring replacement because of version differences.
Dedicated to this effort ARMA also has a full time deployment of personnel in Kabul to manage the repairable assessment and shipping process for all aviation repairable items from the Afghan MOD and MOI to include the lifecycle management assessment, quoting of repair and shipment from and to Kabul of repairable spare parts for both the Afghan MOD and MOI fleets. ARMA’s repairable team has assessed more than 800 major end items for repair, and continues to receive material for assessment from both the Afghan MOD and MOI.
The repair of repairable (ROR) parts recovery program has the potential to save the U.S. and Afghan Governments hundreds of thousands of dollars. For these efforts, Lockheed Martin Global Training & Logistics IDIQ Solutions recently recognized ARMA as the 2010 Small Business of the Year.
