Tuesday, May 16th 6:30PM - 9:30PM

at the Tampa Museum of Art

120 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, FL 33602

Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3) “Romy” Camargo spent 20 years in the United States Army. Most of that time was spent in the Special Operations community with the 75th Ranger Regiment and 7th Special Forces Group. On 16 September, 2008 (during his third deployment to Afghanistan), Romy’s detachment was ambushed. Romy received a gunshot wound to the back of his neck resulting in paralysis from the shoulders down.

Romy and his wife, Gaby, would spend two hours or more each day driving from Tampa to Orlando, Florida and back for treatment at a rehabilitation facility in Orlando. They considered the option of opening their own facility in Tampa that would provide rehabilitation treatment, programs, and equipment enabling quadriplegics and paraplegics to stand and exercise. One that provides support for caregivers complete with a community of inspiration and motivation.

That vision resulted in opening Stay in Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center on 20 June, 2015 in Tampa, FL. The center provides rehabilitative services to veterans and civilians from around the United States. Men and women come to this facility for physical rehabilitation and critical mental support necessary while on the road to recovery.

We invite you to join us at the 5th Annual Stay in Step celebration to be held at the Tampa Museum of Art on 16 May, 2017 during SOFIC week. ARMA Global has been a part of Stay in Step’s journey from its inception. In 2015 this event raised the last necessary funds to officially open the doors to the facility. As a result, hundreds of wounded veterans and their families receive the personal attention and treatment right here in Tampa, Headquarters to our Special Operations community. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000. This amount enables the expansion of the facility, installation of a treatment pool, and ultimately enables more wounded Veterans and Civilians to receive the care they deserve.

Tickets to the event are $40 and donations to this extraordinary cause are greatly appreciated. 100% of all tickets sales and donations will go to Stay in Step.
